Group Training Programs for the 2012 CA Classic Half Marathon

Pinnacle Training Systems continues its legacy in 2012 as an official training partner for the Eye-Q California Classic Half Marathon. Last year, we successfully brought many first-time half marathoners across the finish line, as well as helped many experienced runners shave minutes off of their personal records. Pinnacle Training Systems also boasts multiple top placements in the 2011 race! This year, you too can run your FIRST or FASTEST race with the most scientific-based training program in the Central Valley: Pinnacle Training Systems.

Many have joined our program because they have seen PTS marathon trainers out on the course cheering on and providing aid to their runners. During training, PTS provides trainers both on foot and on bikes to make sure each runner is properly cared for.

 

"Individualized" Group Training?

California Classic Half Marathon Pinnacle Training SystemsDon't let the term "group training" throw you. Pinnacle Training Systems doesn't put you into a "one size fits all" running group to help you reach the finish line. Our programs are scientifically put together so that each and every runner can progress at his or her own pace. The group atmosphere provides excellent accountability and gives the runner a great opportunity to meet people and make some new friends, but the program itself is based on the scientific principle that each athlete is different.

Why does PTS not have a "one size fits all" group program? In any given running group that runs in a pack, you will be sure to find runners who are running too fast for their own good as well as runners who are being held back for the sake of the group. Only a few runners in the pack are actually going at the pace and intensity level that is optimal for their personal training. We want you to experience the success that only good science can bring you - the same science that goes behind every world class marathoner's training plan.

Designed by the well educated and experienced pros at PTS, our training programs are designed to do three things: help you set realistic goals, get you to the finish line, and prevent injury throughout the process.With PTS, YOU are running YOUR race.

If you live outside of the Fresno area and would like to benefit from training with PTS, we have a solution for you! Take advantage of our individualized program - a discounted option for those who cannot make the group training runs.

PRE-DESIGNED PROGRAMS:
These programs are for the athlete who wishes to have a professionally-designed training program but does not require any one-on-one coaching or training advice. You simply will download the digital training calendar and start training!

  • 14 week half marathon run only: $50
  • 12 week metric century, bike only: $50
  • 16 week century, bike only: $65
  • 16 week California Classic Challenge (run+bike): $100

PRE-DESIGNED PROGRAM WITH ONCE/WEEK EMAIL/PHONE PROGRESS REPORT:
Athletes will have an online TrainingPeaks account where their workouts will be entered for the duration of the program. Athletes can then upload their training information (GPS data, notes, etc) and a PTS coach will analyze their workouts and provide a weekly progress report.

  • 14 Week Half Marathon Run: $150
  • 12 week metric century Bike: $150
  • 16 week century (bike): $165
  • 16 week California Classic Challenge (run+bike): $175

This program option includes:

  • The same schedule of workouts used by members of the group program
  • Online access to our exclusive training forum
  • Free weekly e-mail and phone contact with a PTS coach for the duration of your training
